Beading is one of the most popular craft disciplines amongst the network members. With such a variety of beaded products available for retail around the Western Cape, the Mhani Gingi women are always looking for new and better ways to improve on design and quality.

The women are encouraged to be innovative in the style and patterns that they choose so as to establish a niche in a very saturated market.

Local visitors and international tourists have the opportunity to view the beaded work on display at some of the community guest houses and at special installations put on for their benefit.

When traveling abroad, Lillian regularly takes examples of the diverse range of merchandise made by the network members, to establish awareness of the kinds of creations that can be produced for potential export.
