Mhani Gingi Social Entrepreneurial Network was on the itinerary of Coventry University, United Kingdom’s 2018 Global Leaders Visit to Cape Town in April 2018. This was followed by a group of nine occupational therapy students from Coventry University who visited beneficiaries of Mhani Gingi in Uitsig Community, Ravensmead, on 27 September 2018. The differently-abled adults with whom the students interacted maintain two community food gardens under Mhani Gingi’s supervision as well as making crafts, beadwork and sewn garments. They also participate in wheelchair sports and competitions.
Another delegation of 24 graduate student from the School of Social Work at Howard University situated in North-West Washington, United States of America, visited the Saartjie Baartman Centre for Women and Children and Mhani Gingi in September 2018. The visit was part of the university’s International Service Learning (ISL) Programme. Dr. Tamara Moss, Assistant Professor in the School, and Dr. Cudore Snell, Professor, a South African, accompanied the graduates.
